Newtone Shorties Bass Strings are designed specifically for short (30″) and medium (32″) scale basses.
They have a bright, punchy tone which is missing from standard strings on instruments with short/medium scale lengths. This is achieved with unique core to warp ratios, particularly on the E and A strings, which suffer the most from lack of tension. Made with Hexagonal cores to achieve the optimum tension and brightness, you can choose your wrapping material from Nickel Plated Steel or Stainless Steel
